WILLIAM THOMAS MCBRIDE
William Thomas was born 6 December 1925 in Barmera and died 28 November 1973.
Bill never married, and lived with Kathleen his sister, Frank his uncle and Lizzy in Frank’s house on the road to Berri, out of Barmera and just over the railway line. Austin (Pat) lived in the house at some time as well. Bill suffered with TB, which was a condition usually causing premature death in people who contracted this. After some time he moved into a boarding house in Barmera and died there. Frank looked after Bill, as he looked after many people who came across his path.
